About Me
Hi there, I'm Jade! I'm so glad you stopped by my little corner of the internet. For me, hobbies come and go on very quickly, sometimes they last a few months, maybe just a couple weeks. But sewing has been something that I always come back too. All those unfinished projects are still happy to greet me when I return several months later. (Unlike the garden, which wasn't as patient).
I started sewing about a month into the Covid19 pandemic. After watching my Aunt sew masks, and getting a five minute lesson on her machine, I went home and bought the Brother XM2701 machine. Shipping took a few weeks, so I took the opportunity to do as much hand sewing as possible. I made doll clothes, a coaster, a pincushion, all getting ready for the big day when the machine would arrive.
Since then I've made more than a hundred handmade items ranging from zipper pouches and aprons (lots of aprons) all the way on to dresses and a full sized bed quilt. Crosstitch, embroidery, crochet and knitting are all things I occasionally dabble in too. In addition to crafty hobbies, I love spending time outside, especially hiking, backpacking, skiing, and mountain biking.
I hope that you can get some project inspiration from my crafty wanderings!
